This is a really stunning charoite and silver necklace.
Charoite is a really interesting stone. It's not easily found as it only comes from one mine in Siberia.. At the moment it is classed as a semi-precious stone, but there is talk of re-classifying it as precious, as it is in such short supply. It has a gorgeous natural purple/lavender/white colour. The clasp is a Karen tribal silver clasp, made from extremely pure fine silver -98%.
The necklace is 19.5" long. (49.5cm).
I am the designer of this necklace and I have made it with my own hands. I have been making my living exclusively from designing and making jewellery for 9 years. I travel every year to seek out old and tribal silver from Asia and India along with semi-precious stones. Back at home in Brighton, England, I make these loose pieces up into beautiful and unusual jewellery.
Everything I make is of very high quality. I use the very best stringing materials, so it drapes well and is not stiff, and yet is extremely strong.
Every item will be sent beautifully packaged in a cotton gift bag made especially for me by a women's self help group in India.
