Indian tribal silver earrings. Old/antique. 7 sisters. Sterling silver 925

This is a pair of old/antique silver earrings from India.

The 2 pieces were originally small amulets which have been been made and worn by the tribal gypsy people of Rajasthan in Northern India. They are 50 - 150 years old, and are made of extremely pure silver (98%). They both represent 7 sisters and 1 brother which is a protection symbol as sisters are considered to be very protective of their brothers. I bought them myself in Rajasthan and matched the 2 amulets to make a pair of earrings.  The  ear hooks are new and are sterling silver 925.

The amulets are 1.5 cm across amd 2 cm high, including the hoop. From the top of the ear hooks the earrings are 3.3 cm long. (just under 1.5").

I am the designer of these earrings and I have put them together with my own hands. I have been making my living exclusively from designing and  making jewellery for 9 years. I travel every year to seek out old and tribal silver from Asia and India along with semi-precious stones. Back at home in Brighton, England,  I make these loose pieces up into beautiful and unusal jewellery.

Every item will be send beautifully packaged in a cotton gift bag made especially for me by a women's self help group in India.
