Old antique silver clip-on charm. Indian tribal patri protection amulet. 925.
This is an antique silver clip-on charm.
The charm is an old Indian Patri. It is from Northern Indiaand was made and worn by the tribal gypsy people of Rajasthan. It is between 50 and 150 years old. It is known as a patri and is a protection amulet. It features '7 sisters and 1 brother' and is worn to bring protection and good luck to the wearer. I brought these charms myself in Rajasthan. It is made of extremely pure fine silver (98%). I have made it into a clip-on charm using a fine silver ring and a sterling silver lobster clasp (92.5%).
Please note that these charms are all hand made and there will be very slight differences, but the design, shape and size will be essentially the same as the one shown in the photos.
The disc is 1.3 cm across. The charm is 2.8 cm long ( just over 1") including the clasp.
I have designed this charm and made it with my own hands. I have been making my living exclusively from designing and making jewellery for 9 years. I travel every year to seek out old and tribal silver from Asia and India along with semi-precious stones. Back at home in Brighton, England, I make these loose pieces up into beautiful and unusual jewellery.
Every item will be sent beautifully packaged in a fabric gift bag.
