Old antique silver large clip-on charm. Indian tribal pendant. Rajasthan. 925.
This is an Indian antique silver clip-on charm.
The charm is an old tribal pendant that was part of an ornate headress. It is from Northern India and was made and worn by the tribal gypsy people of Rajasthan. It is between 50 and 150 years old. I brought it myself in Rajasthan. It is made of extremely pure fine silver (98%). I have made it into a clip-on charm using a fine silver ring and a sterling silver lobster clasp (92.5%).
Please note that these charms are all hand made and there will be very slight differences, but the design, shape and size will be essentially the same as the one shown in the photos.
The pendant is 3 cm long and 1.9 cm across. The charm is 4.3 cm long ( just over 1.5 ") including the clasp.
I have designed this charm and made it with my own hands. I have been making my living exclusively from designing and making jewellery for 9 years. I travel every year to seek out old and tribal silver from Asia and India along with semi-precious stones. Back at home in Brighton, England, I make these loose pieces up into beautiful and unusual jewellery.
